Deep Roots, Wild Growth

Welcome

This space was created for the version of me who woke up on March 24, 2015, without the familiar haze, without the noise, and without the numbing. For the Ashley who felt lost and empty, but deeply ready for something more.

This a home for anyone navigating the quiet confusion that can come with choosing clarity over escape. Whether you’re newly sober, sober curious, or simply craving a life that feels lighter, steadier, and more whole, this is for you.

Here, I share what helped me find my footing: simple routines, nourishing habits. The kinds of things that don’t need to be chased or poured into a glass. It’s not about rules or labels. It’s about living with intention, even when it feels like it’s unravelling. Especially then <3

I hope you find something here that makes you feel less alone.
I hope you leave knowing there is nothing wrong with wanting more peace. I hope this space reminds you that slow, wild growth is still growth.

You’re exactly where you need to be.

Hi, I'm Ashley!

I’m on a journey of sobriety (just celebrated 10 years!), wellness, and living life fully present- one day, and one adventure at a time!

For years, I searched for balance, joy and a sense of purpose. When I chose sobriety, everything changed- not just what I left behind, but what I gained: clarity, self-discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty in the simple things. This blog is where I will share that journey, not as an expert, but as someone walking the path, learning and growing along the way.

You’ll find glimpses of my world: My sobriety journey, which has been one of the most transformative parts of my life — teaching me clarity, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for so many things. Wellness and self-care including a holistic approach to feeling good inside and out. My travels, which expand my perspective and provide experiences that fuel my soul. Because food is its own kind of love language, you’ll also find simple recipes, nourishing snacks and mocktails woven throughout these pages.

My Approach

I try to share my story pretty unfiltered. Maybe it’s age or just life experience, but I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable caring less about how things look and more about how they feel.

Part of my wellness journey includes sharing things that have genuinely made a difference for me- like Arbonne. Their plant-based nutrition and skincare have become part of my daily routine, helping me feel more like myself in a way that’s simple and sustainable.

This space isn’t about chasing some perfect version of life- it’s about showing up for yourself. Not for your family, your friends or anyone else. It’s about prioritizing you. This is my story, but I hope somewhere along the way it inspires you in yours.

Wherever you are on your path, you’re not alone <3

Movement, Rest & Recovery: Finding Strength Without the Burnout

Let’s be honest: the wellness world can be a lot. There’s constant messaging telling us to hustle, grind, “never miss a Monday,” and then—ironically—to also slow down, stretch, and meditate in a candlelit room with perfect lighting. Somewhere in the middle is real life. And somewhere in that middle is where I’ve found a rhythm…

Protein-Packed Greek Yogurt Jars: A No-Nonsense Weekday Staple

Let’s talk about weekday breakfast—because if you’re anything like me, Monday through Friday is not the time for slow, dreamy smoothie bowls or fresh-from-the-oven muffins. It’s a time for systems. For function. For fuel. That’s where these Greek yogurt jars come in. I prep five of them every Sunday night and don’t think about breakfast…

Why I Got Sober: My Turning Point

Why I got sober wasn’t about one rock-bottom moment—it was a long, painful unraveling that nearly killed me. This isn’t just about quitting drinking. It’s about finally coming home to myself.
